I want to learn bass. I am debating which bass to purchase. However, I don’t want to break the bank. What do you recommend for me? Love the videos. Thanks π
Laid in bed thinking I couldn’t do that in a million years. Now tea time and I can do it! You do great tutorials fella. Thanks, a fellow W Yorks bloke π Incidentally, have you always had Simms pups on that bass?
Hi, Mark. Greetings from Brazil. I just love your lessons and been learning a lot from them. One question, which pickups are you using on this Ibanez bass ? It sounds awesome !
Hey I stumbled on your channel really appreciate how you give so many resources for ppl wanting to learn how to be better on their instrument!! BTW whats your lighting setup or are you using a green screen or something similar??
You must definitely be the best bass instructor I have ever seen! Not everyone who is a talented performer has also the ability to teach properly. You my friend possess both! Thank you for so many great videos and information!!!

Nice lesson, really helpful. BTW: Is that Irish accent? Sorry for the stupid question, no offence or provocation intended,Β I simply enjoy identifying accents. N.B. English is not my native language. Β π
Hello Mark I would like to appreciated your lesson.. you make a sophisticated sound line to be so simple and easy to learn..you are one of the best bass teacher I found. Thanks again for this video..
I’ll throw in my two cents here just because kids forget sometimes that PENTAtonic means 5 notes, and the blues scale w/b5 or blue note, become a HEXAtonic meaning 6 notes. So basically it’s the same scale with the added blue note or flat (b5).Good teacher.Loved your lesson on Bass chords, very well explained.
Thank you for all your lessons. I have enjoyed most online teachers for something unique but as a beginner bass player it seems that I have learned the most constructive and cohesive from you. Maybe a Scott thing π
what pickups are in your bass

Sometimes the simplest fills are the most effective. Great lesson! You and Adam Neely are my favorite bass channels. π
Good lesson. But is it possible to bring up the volume so it’s more understanding?
Your E string 5 fret is buzzing like crazy…
What brand are those pickups?
